Nothing
Friday, June 3rd, 2005nothing, i have found
is everywhere, if you look around
nothing is that space
between you and some place
if nothing could be used

Teller Reid Estes
Thursday, May 19th, 2005Just wanted to take a second to announce the birth of my second son Teller Reid Estes. His birth was completely different than Corbin’s (my first son) but every bit as amazing and awesome. I love being a daddy. Read more about the family over at Estes News (includes pics).
Introduction
Saturday, February 26th, 2005I’ve had this domain for a long time now, and have never done anything with it. The original idea for the domain was that it would be a site to go to for answers to whatever. My thought was that whatever the subject matter is…inevitebly someone out there finds the subject rather easy. People would pose questions or start discussions and enlightenment/arguments would ensue. Well…that never happened. So, now this will be my blog.
My name is James Estes and I am a web application developer/designer, currently working in the area of Java/J2EE. I live in St Louis with my wife, son and 2 dogs. My wife and I (ok mostly my wife) keep a family blog at http://www.estesnews.com. I appreciate a good hike, bike ride, wine (shiraz is my taste recently), clean code, and people who are smarter than me I can learn from.
What are you going to see here? I’ll mostly be talking about web developer/designer topics I’m into at the moment. You’ll see some WILT posts (What I Learned Today), posts on topics I’m passionate about (probably something in Java…the springframework is a good one recently), and I’m sure you’ll get to hear about some of my wacky ideas from time to time.
Interested? Maybe…
